Reliance Industries has brought another luxurious shopping destination in Mumbai – Jio World Plaza (JWP). Promising an unmatched retail experience to fashion lovers, the grand launch of JWP on October 31 was graced by many Bollywood celebrities. Jio World Plaza opened its doors to the general public on 1 November 2023 in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), featuring all the lavish brand stores.

A dazzling star-studded evening
All eyes were set on the opening ceremony as the event marked the presence of renowned B-town celebs. Actors made this extravagant evening all the more exciting with their top-notch fashion choices. Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone donned a grey off-shoulder dress, while Janhvi Kapoor made heads turn in a sparkling silver lehenga with a maroon cape. Ali Bhatt made a striking appearance in a black gown with swirl patterns at the bottom. Ranveer Singh looked uber cool in a matching black dhoti and suit.
Lovebirds Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Verma
Several actresses shined bright in golden outfits including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Rashmika Mandanna. Katrina Kaif chose to keep her look simple yet stylish as she wore a floral ensemble. Karisma Kapoor and Nora Fatehi elevated their style with red coloured traditional outfits. Desi girl Priyanka Chopra exuded her radiant charm in a lime-green saree.
Shraddha Kapoor not only impressed the fans with her uniquely draped saree, but also with her beautiful singing performance.
Other stars who attended the event and aced the fashion game were Bhumi Pednekar, Mouni Roy, Sharvari Wagh, father-daughter duo Suniel Shetty and Athiya Shetty, Khushi Kapoor, Shehnaz Gill and many more.
Amid the glitz and glamour of the evening, there was one couple that stole the limelight with their adorable chemistry and that is – Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Verma The beautiful couple entered the event hand-in-hand and walked the ramp as showstoppers. Tamannaah nailed her look in an ivory gown and Vijay looked absolutetly ravishing in a black-and-white striped suit.
Their pictures and videos oozing romance are going viral on the internet. The duo seems to be the paparazzi’s favourite as they were affectionately complimented by the paps, who said, “Kya Baat Hai,” “Lovely Jodi”!
Other Bollywood couples also attended the event, including Riteish Deshmukh with Genelia D’Souza and Rajkummar Rao with Patralekha.
Ambanis’ arrival at the red carpet
Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani, arrived at the launch event along with Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani and their daughter Isha Ambani. The trio stunned in their elegant outfits.
While Nita Ambani opted for a gorgeous sea-blue gown, Isha chose to go all-black with a beautiful satin shirt paired with a full-length embroidered shimmery skirt. Akash Ambani, along with wife Shloka Mehta, and Anant Ambani with fiancé Radhika Merchant were also spotted during the opening ceremony.
The executive director of Reliance Retail Venture Limited, Isha Ambani, said, “Our envisioning of the Jio World Plaza is aimed at bringing the best global brands to India as well as highlighting the prowess and craftsmanship of top Indian brands.”

Touted to be the next shopping paradise, the JWP features 66 luxury global brands and the structure spreads over 7,50,000 square feet area. The luxe mall is located in BKC, next to Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), the Jio World Convention Centre and the Jio World Garden. After the Jio World Drive, JWP is the second luxurious shopping destination at BKC by Reliance Industries.
