“What’s The Use Of Reality Show,” Netizens Are Upset As Ali Asgar Performs In His Famous Dadi’s Role On Jhalak Dikhla Ja!

Popular dance reality shows Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is back on television after five years and audiences are enjoying its run because of the interesting set of contestants the makers have brought in this season.

Famous TV actor Ali Asgar has also participated in the show and both his performances till now have been very well received by the judges. But netizens are not impressed with Ali and the reason is him not coming out of his popular on-screen character ‘Dadi’ from The Kapil Sharma Show. Social media users are saying that there is no use in a reality show when he is essaying a character and not being able to showcase his true self.

Few viewers on Reddit have expressed their disappointment with this. ‘Let’s be honest this is a reality show and I am unable to understand why Ali Asgar is playing a character and not being himself when it’s a reality show on the show also he is performing as Dadi and I feel it’s unfair for him as he cannot show his true personality and its very irritating. He is not even a part of The Kapil Sharma Show,’ penned a user.

‘I feel bad for Ali Asgar as he has to perform as “Dadi” and the audience cannot see the real personality of the actor and it’s very irritating, this is a reality show and his true personality should be coming out. It’s a very unfair thing for the actor,’ wrote a second user.

‘Ali Asgar as “Dadi” on a reality show is so not unfair as the audience cannot connect with him, let’s be honest this is a reality show and we need to see the true personalities of the actors who are not coming out in the show,’ read another comment.

A fourth user posted, ‘Ali Asgar should come as himself on the show as the audience could connect to him more as Dadi is dusted and done and we are bored of looking at him as a character we want the true personality to come out.’

Besides Asgar, Jhalak Dikhla Ja has Paras Kalnawat, Rubina Dilaik, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Nia Sharma, Niti Taylor, Amruta Khanvilkar, Faisu, and Shilpa Shinde, among others. The judging panel of the show contains Karan Johar, Nora Fatehi, and Madhuri Dixit.
