Veteran actor Nana Patekar is one of the most popular names of the Hindi film industry. He might be away from screens for some time now, there was a time when his mere presence in the film was enough to make it a hit. Nana did many types of roles in his career. He aced intense characters of a villain and a police officer while also doing a fabulous job in comedy and patriotic films.
However, then there came a time when some allegations were leveled against the actor during the ‘Me Too’ movement. Since then the actor distanced himself from the screen and made only brief appearances in films and web shows. Once Dimple Kampadia also commented on Nana’s character in real life. She said that though Patekar is a great artiste, she has also seen a very bad side of him.
Dimple on Nana’s behaviour
While in a conversation with film critic Anupama Chopra, Dimple was asked about Nana’s nature. She was also questioned whether Nana has calmed down as a person. To this, the actress had replied Nana is bad in terms of temperament. She had stated, “I think he is obnoxious. As far as his talent is concerned, he has no match. He is an extremely talented person. When I see artistes like him, say khoon bhi maaf hain. Sab kuch maaf hai, take my life too. He has such an influence on me in terms of acting. As a human being, he has been a very good, kind friend to me. But I have also seen his terrible side…his dark side. We all have a dark side which we keep safely and nicely under wraps.”
For the unknown, Dimple Kapadia and Nana Patekar have worked together in films like ‘Welcome Back’, ‘Prahaar: The Final Attack’, ‘Angaar’, ‘Krantiveer’ and ‘Tum Milo Toh Sahi’.
