‘Acting Toh Karwa Lenge’: Radhika Apte On Filmmakers’ Strategy Behind Launching Star Kids
Bollywood actress Radhika Apte is currently in news because of her badass attitude and answers regarding nepotism in a viral video. Recently, a user on Reddit shared an old video of Radhika Apte in which she has discussed the mindset behind filmmakers choosing starkids over outsiders. Fans are also praising the unfiltered version of the ‘Padman’ actress.
Radhika Apte On Outsiders’ Struggle
In the viral video, Radhika Apte talks about the things Outsiders have to do to settle in the industry. From surgeries to frequent media attention, the ‘Padman‘ actress mentioned things which struggling Actors have to do to make their career. She said:
“Actors who want to better their game, they have to exercise more, dress better, get clicked more, and do things on their faces.”
Radhika Apte further revealed that Bollywood producers and directors don’t cast actors based on their performance and they least value their talent.
“They (filmmakers) don’t go for courses or for coaching, for performance you know because that’s not valued.”
When Radhika Talked About Producers’ Inclination Towards Star Kids
In the same video, the ‘Andhadhund’ actress talked about how filmmakers even cast star kids who are poor in acting because of nepotism. According to Apte, Bollywood producers have a strong inclination towards star kids and they have a mindset that they will make them act even if they don’t know acting.

“They go like ‘That’s a star kid, or this is somebody being promoted by somebody, cast them, acting to karwa lenge”

The 37-years-old actress is best known for her roles in films like Padman, Shor In The City, Andhadhun and Parched. Apte was last seen in the film Mrs ‘Undercover’ on ZEE5 in April 2023.
