Parth Samthaan Addresses His Decision About Leaving Television.
The 32-year-old is going to make his Bollywood debut with Ghudchadi. Yes, you read that right. Samthaan will soon appear in a film alongside Sanjay Dutt. Thus far, not much about his project with a legendary actor is being revealed.
He also discussed leaving the television industry, saying it was difficult to leave his comfort zone, and that even before entering television, he had always wanted to do films since he was a child.
Parth Samthaan recently told the Hindustan Times that his decision to stay away from television was conscious. Parth Samthaan’s decision to leave television for other mediums was nothing short of bold and deliberate. “Yes, it was a conscious decision to avoid TV and instead focus on OTT platforms and films,” adds the actor.
The 32-year-old is thrilled to be appearing opposite Sanjay Dutt, who plays his father in the film, and describes it as a “incredible opportunity,” adding, ” I am eager to showcase my versatility on the big screen, and it is truly a dream come true for me.”
Samthaan is well known for playing Anurag Basu in the daily serial Kasautii Zindagi Kay. He admits that leaving behind such a renowned role is never an easy decision, since he had become a household name with his character.
“Putting aside your comfort zone isn’t easy, and it won’t be for as long as you continue to push yourself. At some point, creative space takes over, while you must be courageous enough to put your foot down”. You must start from the beginning. “It was still a risk I was willing to take. He says that even before he got into television, he always wanted to do films.”
Samathaan said he received conflicting reactions from fans after leaving TV, and his mother still wants him to appear on TV. but he is eager to pursue new opportunities in the entertainment industry. “She missed seeing me on TV every single day since she saw me every single day.” But that’s where you have to make a decision and do something you genuinely want to accomplish,” he says.

As the The Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya actor prepares to take on new challenges, he recognises the shifting dynamics of the entertainment industry and the growing relevance of social media visibility. “There are so many talented actors who do not have a social media presence.” People frequently approach you [and put you in films] solely because you have a large social media following, which I believe is unfortunate. But that is how the world has become now, and you have to react to it,” says the actor, who has four million Instagram followers.
