Rohan Joshi Apologises For His ‘Good Riddance’ Comment On Raju Srivastava’s Death; Know The Entire Story!
Comedian-turned-actor Raju Srivastava bid adieu to the world on Wednesday after being in coma for 42 days. He had tickled the funny bones of everyone at many occasions. But seems like stand up comedian Rohan Joshi has a history with the late actor and he could not contain his anger against him even for his mourning day.
Instead of paying condolences to Raju, Rohan started accusing the deceased one for demeaning new age comedians several times during his public appearances. He went a little too far by calling Raju’s death ‘Karma.’ After receiving backlash for the same from social media users, he has issued an apology.
It all started when Rohan Joshi responded to post of Atul Khatri regarding Raju leaving this world. Alongside a picture of Raju on Instagram, Atul wrote, “RIP Rajubhai. You were such an inspiration to so many. Whenever you went on stage you lit it up. Your presence was such that when people just saw you there was an automatic smile on their faces. You will be truly missed. A big loss for the Indian Stand-up Comedy scene.”
On this, Joshi commented, “We haven’t lost a thing. Whether it was Karma whether it was the roast or any coming in the news. Raju Srivastava took every opportunity he ever got to shit on new comics, especially after the new wave of stand-up started. He went on every fk-all news channel every time he was invited to go shit on an upcoming art form and call it offensive just because he couldn’t understand it and new stars were rising. He might have told a few good jokes but he understood nothing about the spirit of comedy or defending someone’s right to say something even if you don’t agree. F^^k him and good riddance.”
After getting slammed for his hateful comment, Rohan took it down and when a netizen reasoned with what made Rohan delete his words, the comedian replied, “Yehi soch kar delete kiya kyuki after a minute of anger I realised today is not about my personal feelings. Sorry if it hurt and thanks for the perspective,”
For the unknown, the actor was running on the treadmill when he complained about chest pain and collapsed on the spot. He was immediately hospitalized and underwent an angioplasty on the same day. But even after a lot of efforts from doctors, Raju could not be saved. He suffered a second cardiac arrest and lost his life.
