Bollywood’s veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan hosted the final episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) on Friday, December 29th. He became emotional while relaying final messages to the audience.
He said, “Main Amitabh Bachchan, iss daur ke liye, iss manch se, aakhri baar kehne ja raha hoon, Shubhratri, Shubhratri, Shubhratri. (I, Amitabh Bachchan, is saying from this stage, for the final time, good night, good night, good night)”.
The episode featured an exclusive line-up of celebrities such as Vidya Balan, Sara Ali Khan, Sheela Devi, and Sharmila Tagore. The audience revered him as being ‘God’s favorite child’.

Amitabh Bachchan had the pleasure of hosting the popular quiz game show Kaun Banega Crorepati for 23 years. The one-of-its-kind game show had the honor of hosting a barrage of celebrities over the years viz. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Abhishek Bachchan, Kajol, Ajay Devgan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and the list goes on.
This 23-year-long marriage ended when Bollywood’s veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan bid adieu this Friday. He got teary-eyed, expressed his gratitude, and left after saying heartfelt messages.

The final episode of KBC 15 saw prominent Bollywood celebrities making an appearance.
Vidya Balan presented a sweet video of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Vidya also expressed the powerful impact he had left on her in her childhood. Sara Ali Khan recreated a fond childhood memory of KBC. Sharmila Tagore amused the actor by revealing his wife Jaya Bachchan’s nickname. The audience hailed Amitabh Bachchan as ‘God’s favorite child’.

In the final moments, the KBC stage spoke up, thanking Amitabh Bachchan for taking charge of the wheels and steering it in the right direction for 23 years.
“Namaste Amitji! Main KBC ka manch hoon. 23 years ago a bond was created between you, me, and India’s audience. The bond has been inseparable and we all would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” said the voiceover.

KBC Season 15
KBC commenced its 15th season on August 14th this year on Sony TV. Jaskaran Singh, a 21-year-old man from Punjab, became the first crorepati. The show is available on the SonyLIV app for streaming in a different format. It includes features like Super Sandook, Desh Ka Sawal, and Double Dip Lifeline.
