Charu Asopa, who plays Charu in Mere Angne Mein, and her husband Rajeev Sen have welcomed a newborn daughter into their family. Today, the couple welcomed their first child. Sushmita Sen’s younger brother, Rajeev, posted the news on his Instagram account, along with the first images of the baby. The couple is overjoyed that their child has arrived.
Sharing the pictures on his official Instagram handle, Rajeev wrote, “Blessed with a baby girl. Charu is doing fine & fit. So proud of my wife for being strong right till the end… Thank you all for your prayers… Thank you, God.” The photos show it was an emotional moment for the couple as they held their little one in their arms for the first time. In one of the photos, Rajeev is also seen holding the baby girl.
In May, Charu announced that she was expecting a child. She was quoted as stating the couple had been planned for a long time. The actress claimed that they were surprised after they had given up. She also stated that she found out she was pregnant in the fourth week.

Charu had announced that she was expecting her first baby with Rajeev in the summer. She shared the news on Instagram. Following her post, her sister-in-law Sushmita dedicated a post on the platform to Charu and wrote, “I can’t wait to hold the little one!!! Charu has been waiting a long time for this & given her love for children, I just know, she’ll be an amazing mother!! To the Sen & Asopa family…Bahut Bahut Mubarak!! I love you guys!!!”
Sushmita, who celebrates her birthday on November 19, was hopeful that the baby would share her birthday with her.
Sushmita Sen also shared the good news on her Instagram with a picture and the post read, “Lakshmi arrives just before Diwali!! IT’S A GIRL!!!! Congratulations @asopacharu & @rajeevsen9 …what a beauty she is!!! I BECAME A BUA THIS MORNING #sooooooohapppyyyyyy.”
Charu and Rajeev hosted a baby shower in their new Mumbai house in August. They had uploaded photos from the event to Instagram. Susmita, her kids Renee and Alisah, as well as her lover Rohman Shawl, were all in attendance.
