‘Laal Singh Chaddha Was Not A Great Film’; Anupam Kher To Aamir’s Film Facing Boycott Trends!

Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan’s most recent movie, had a poor box office performance and failed to gross even 50 crores in its first weekend. Laal Singh Chaddha, a Hindi version of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump that also starred Kareena Kapoor, was directed by Advait Chandan. Anupam Kher, an actor, spoke candidly on the ‘boycott Bollywood’ trend and whether it contributed to Laal Singh Chaddha’s failure in a recent interview.

After being freed on August 11, 2022, Laal Singh Chaddha was unable to take advantage of the extended weekend surrounding Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day. The first weekend’s earnings were 46 crore. Later, the movie was made available on Netflix. Anupam Kher recently claimed that if Laal Singh Chaddha had been a brilliant movie, “no power would have stopped” it from being made.

Anupam Kher is always against Boycott trends

The movie Laal Singh Chadda wasn’t very good. If the movie had been excellent, nothing could have stopped it. PK by Aamir Khan was quite successful. The key is that you must acknowledge the truth, said Anupam. The seasoned actor continued, “I am absolutely against boycott trends, but you can’t stop someone from doing what they want to. However, if your product is good, people will buy it. They actually intend to return with a vengeance. Making brilliant work is the only way to stop this trend.”

Anupam further stated that he believes the “boycott Bollywood” trend won’t have an impact on a film when discussing it. He claimed that if a movie is good, it will succeed; if it is awful, it would fail, but not as a result of the boycott movement. Anupam added that everyone has the right to freedom of expression, and if an actor wants to speak out about a certain circumstance, they should have the courage to do so. He seemed to be alluding to Aamir’s previous comments.
