‘The Kashmir Files’ Director Vivek Agnihotri In Discussion Due To Theme Of His Film: Deets Inside!!!
Vivek Agnihotri, the producer of films like ‘The Tashkent Files’ has been always in discussion due to the themes of his film. These days he is in discussion about his political thriller film The Kashmir Files. The film is based on the murder and atrocities of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir in the late 80s and early 90s. Veteran actors like Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar are going to be seen in the film.
According to a Mid-Day report, the filmmaker told that, “The biggest challenge in making this film was that no one wants to financially support such a film, which will create controversy. But someone has to do this. We want cinema to be the brand ambassador of India.” Talking about the screening of the film, Vivek Agnihotri said, “We have received lot of praise for making the most balanced and honest film on the subject. My criteria for choosing Anupam Kher is to take such actors who can understand the character easily. I am lucky that I got a chance to work with legends. All of them are National Award winners.”
Let us inform that in the film, the actor is playing the character of Pushkar Nath Pandit, a retired professor of philosophy, who lives with his family in Srinagar.
Talking about Anupam Kher’s films, he was last seen working in Hotel Mumbai. This film was made in both Hindi and English languages. In this, Dev Patel was also seen in the lead role with him. The upcoming films of Anupam Kher include Telugu film Karthikeya 2 and Tamil film Connect.
