‘When Criticism Starts Hurting You…’: Harman Baweja On Why He Took Break From Movies!
Bollywood actor Harman Baweja who has been away from movies for many years now, has once again come into buzz. This time the actor has come in the headlines for his upcoming Netflix web series. In a recent interaction, Harman revealed why he distanced himself from movies for so many years.
While in a conversation with a leading daily, Harman stated, “The script had nothing to do with my break from the movies. I worked in only a few films and was criticized a lot for my work. I was fully entitled to be criticized. People have every right to criticize me. However, when I received backlash on a personal level, I felt a lot of pain. Because of this, I decided to take distance myself from movies.”
Continuing his point, Harman further quoted, “I love what I do, but not more than myself. I cannot subject myself to that kind of backlash which I never understood and nor did I want to. Now I have moved on. This is liberating for me, hence. I have no plans for the future. I have done this part, and I am happy. There is no other specific reason apart from this, I guess.”
Let us tell you that Harman who made his debut ‘Love Story 2050’ opposite Priyanka Chopra recently faced criticism for gaining weight.
Workwise, Harman Baweja is all set to make a comeback with Hansal Mehta’s upcoming series ‘Scoop’. Apart from him, Karishma Tanna and Zeeshan Ayub also star in the main roles in this web series. The show will stream on Netflix from June 2, 2023.
